Formulation: Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG

Fipronil 40%+ Imidacloprid 40% WG is a contact and systemic insecticide. It contains 400gram of Fipronil and 400gram of Imidacloprid active ingredients, per kg of the formulation.

Use with care to avoid Air/Dust contamination of the cropping area.

Fipronil 40%+ Imidacloprid 40% WG is recommended for control of White grubs in Sugarcane.

Application Method

One application of Fipronil 40%+ Imidacloprid 40% WG as soil drenching at the time of planting.

 

Precautions by User

Avoid contact with the spilled product or contaminated surfaces. Wear personal protective equipment. Unprotected persons must be kept away. Do not allow the undiluted product to come into contact with the skin. Use PVC or other plastic material gloves or nitrile gloves and a long-sleeved shirt to protect skin to avoid direct contact with the product. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Keep working clothes separately. For eye protection, use safety glasses(goggles). Wash hands away from eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet and also hands immediately after spraying. If necessary, take a shower after finishing the spray. Remove soiled and soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.

 

Symptoms of poisoning

Convulsions, Tremors, Anxiety, Restlessness.

 

Caution

The above-mentioned symptoms must not be confused with organophosphorus compounds. There may be delayed neurological effects, including brain oedema.

 

First Aid

  1. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of it safely. Call a physician immediately.
  2. When inhaled, remove to fresh air and seek medical aid. Give oxygen or artificial respiration, if needed,
  3. In case of skin contact, wash off thoroughly with plenty of soap and water, if available with polyethyleneglycol 400, subsequently rinse with water.
  4. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
  5. If swallowed seek medical advice immediately. Gastric lavage should be considered in case of significant ingestion only within the first two hours. However, the application of activator charcoal and sodium sulphate is always advisable.
  6. In case of convulsions. A benzodiazepine (e.g. diazepam) should be given according to standard regimens.
  7. Keep under medical supervision for the last 48 hours.

 

Antidote

Specific antidote is not known. Treat symptomatically.

 

Storage

  1. The packages containing insecticides shall be stored in separate rooms or premises, away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles or shall be kept in separate rooms/ almirahs under lock and key depending upon the nature and quantity of the insecticides
  2. The rooms or premises meant for storing the insecticide shall be well built, well dry, well ventilated and of sufficient dimension to avoid contamination with water vapour.

Disposal of Empty Container

  1. The empty container shall be broken and buried away from the habitation or incinerated.
  2. The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use.
  3. Packages or surplus material and washing should be disposed of in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental and water pollution.
